Dennery’s 2025

     The Dennery Picnic was the Event of the Year! If you missed this picnic, you missed a great day. Dawn and  John put on a truly excellent event once again. Their yard was decked out with auto related signs everywhere. (I wonder where they all came from?) Our club was joined by members of the VCCA (Vintage Chevrolet Club of America) Several in attendance are members of both clubs. It was fun seeing a number of cars I hadn’t seen before. One in particular, a robin’s egg blue 1953 BelAir convertible was amazing. There was plenty of food and drink, our own Steve Calandra spinning records and singing, a pool, nice shady seating areas and toward the end of the day, the dessert bar! I would like to thank Jason Dennery for handling the grill duties. Good Job!

     I remember back in 1999 when I joined the Jersey Late Greats car club the summer meetings were often hosted by one of the members at their home as a Summer Picnic meeting. Leigh and Maureen Humphrey’s, Jim & Claudia Brussel, Tom Merring and of course Dawn & John Dennery all hosted these picnic meetings. Those picnic meetings were so much fun! I am so glad Dawn & John have been able to continue the Summer Picnic meetings for all these years. They truly know how to through a great party!
